Quinsigamond Lake - Shrewsbury Ma
My wife and I launched from the State Ramp on the North Side of the Lake near the Donahue Rowing Center off of N Quinsigamond Ave. Paddled north under the 290 bridge and went back into the Lilly pads that are located on the north side of Lincoln St.
Caught a 3lb largemouth at one of the 290 bridge supports. Got a couple of smaller largemouths on the east side of the lake also. My wife picked up a couple of small largemouths in that same area.
We worked the east side of the lake and also the west side for 6 hours. Picked up a nice 3lb largemouth on the west side of the lake also pretty close to one of the bridge supports.
There is a small area just north of the 290 bridge on the west side that shows a small hump in the bottom of the lake and that turned out to be pretty productive for both of us.
Weather was great, boat traffic in that end of the lake was too bad.
Plenty of weed banks to focus on on both sides of the lake, water in that area was pretty clear, visibility was 3' to 4' in most areas. Water temperature was in the low 70's.
Overall we had a pretty good day.
