Went to crystal lake around 10:30 this morning. Started out throwing a top water, got a blow up. Followed up with a senko and caught this 2.8lber. Also caught a nice sized pickerel and lots of smaller bass. These colder over night temps are really turning the fish on. Caught a total of 9 fish today, mostly dinks, but you'll never hear me complain, i've been skunked too many times this year :)

Arrived at farm pond around 5:45 to find a downed tree!! Jumped over the tree and started with the topwater. Threw the jitterbug, both and frog colored. Then switched to a bass colored popper and then to a firetiger. I Fished the boat launch area for about 1hr and then took off to Lake Cochituate. The gate to enter the park off rt30 was closed so I drove to some local streets and walked into the woods. I Fished the northeastern side of the middle lake for about 3hrs without any bass hits. I used mostly senko's, tried top water...nada. I picked up a few palm sided sunnies on a beetle spin (the things i resort to for some action). Man fishing is tough post hurricane, lol. I finally drove to Woerd street in Waltham and fished the charles river off that dock. I caught what looked to be about 13" bass, possibly pushing 1.25lbs (didn't care enough to weight it) on a crawfish colored jig with craw trailer. fish for about 5hrs of fishing :(

Fished this morning from 9 to 1pm. Fish were pretty active all day.
Started off throwing a fire tiger popper. First fish of the day was NICE, probably 4lbs. Didn't have my cell phone with me, was angry that my "biggest of the day"...just happened to be my first fish and I didn't have my camera. After I released him I ran and got my cell phone. It started to drizzle and at about 9:40am, another monster slammed the popper. Had my camera for him and the picture doesn't do it justice, he was more thick than long. I'm gonna guess high 5s.

Morses Pond in Wellsley, caught 5 bass total and 1 giant blue gill on a fly that i was casting with a bobber. First 5 bass limit in a long time :)
All the bass were fairly small, but I can't complain when the bite is on. Bite was pretty hot this morning with the overcast clouds and approaching thunderstorms. Bass must have been looking up because I saw several literally clearing the water like scud missiles, chasing flies, but they were small :)
